What the site covers
The main subjects are maritime cultures, ships, navigation methods, historic routes, important seas and the practical conditions that shaped voyages. Modern cruise and passenger tools appear where they fit the wider subject of sea travel, but the site is not a cruise-deals publication.
How historical claims are handled
Maritime history often contains incomplete evidence. Boat remains may survive without written descriptions, written accounts may be biased or fragmentary, and later reconstructions can show what is possible without proving every detail of older practice. Pages therefore distinguish documented facts, reasonable reconstruction and uncertainty where the evidence requires it.
