Educational and reference use

Sea Travelers provides historical and educational information together with general-purpose calculators and quizzes. Historical voyage estimates are approximate and depend on assumptions about speed, route, weather and operating conditions.

Accuracy and source limitations

We aim to use reliable sources, but historical evidence can be incomplete or disputed. A reconstruction, estimated route or calculated duration should not be treated as a precise record of an undocumented voyage.
